Hello :D Here are the answers to the Editing Exercise worksheet 1. Mark 'em and do your correction ah!
1. My trip to Pulau Ubin began with a bus ride from Bukit Batok to Changi Village, there, we enjoyed a meal of nasi lemak which tasted great. My trip to Pulau Ubin began with a bus ride from Bukit Batok to Changi Village. When we got there, we enjoyed a meal of nasi lemak which tasted great.
2. When we reached the island, we strolled through the village, and there were many bicycle shops. After a short 15 minute boat ride, we reached the island. As we took as stroll, walking along the pathway on the quiet island, we saw many bicycle shops.
3. While we were walking, there was a stall of coconut, where we had a cold drink. As we were walking, we saw a stall selling coconuts. We took a break and had a cold refreshing coconut each.
4. As the map was just a little hard to decipher, we found ourselves a little lost and had to ask a person for directions. As we had no map reading skills, we could not figure out where was the correct direction to go. We found ourselves a little lost and had to ask a passerby for directions.
5. Then we started panting our lungs out, we thought it would be a good idea to stop. As none of us exercised regularly, after walking for a while, we started to pant. We thought it would be a good idea to stop.
6. It is almost the end of term 3 school holidays and I still haven’t decided where to go out so that I can enjoy with my family before the start of end of year exams. The long school holidays were coming and I still have not decided where to go. I wanted to have a good time with my family before starting the school year again.
7. I was very enthusiastic of going there as I can see whether they had upgraded Sentosa Island or not. I really wanted to go to Sentosa Island as I have heard from many friends that the new Sentosa is really very fun. I really wanted to see how Sentosa has changed.
8. All of our troubles had seemed to disappear when suddenly, my brothers fell ill from a mysterious aliment. All of our troubles seemed to have disappeared. Suddenly, one of my brothers fell seriously ill. We sent him to the doctor but even the doctor was not able to tell us the reason.
But I have to admit, O.o I think I got all of them wrong LOL. Anyway thank you mdm wong for the answers :D I hope neha and the rest can see this o.o
